For Lent, people normally give up a guilty pleasure.. Others over indulge in things, like beer.
A man in Ohio is giving up food and will only be drinking beer for 40 days.
Del Hall from Cincinnati said that he isn't going to be bias towards any beer and will be having all styles of beer.
The only change up to his menu is going to be a glass of water here and there.
Following the lead of monks in the 1600s, Del had told a TV station in Cincinnati, "Being master brewers, they decided they would take a popular style of beer in Germany, bock beer, make it extra hearty and that would be their liquid bread and that's what they call it".
Del has fasted in the past before, going four days without water. He is also an Army veteran and has run marathons, so he is "somewhat" trained it.
Here's to hoping everything works out for him this Lent season, but please don't try this at home!
