After nine seasons with the New England Patriots, Rob Gronkowski took to social media Sunday night to announce his retirement.

Known for his crazy antics on and off the field, Gronk had become a staple to the Patriots offense.

Gronk had played in 115 regular-season games, totaling 521 receptions for 7,861 yards. He played in 16 playoff games, with 81 receptions for 1,163 yards and 12 touchdowns. Not to mention Gronk's 12 postseason touchdown receptions are tied for second in NFL history among all players.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady took to social media Sunday night as well to wish Gronk well.

Best wishes, but sorry I'm not sorry to see you go..

Unfortunately for you Mr. Gronkowski, I don't think many Pittsburgh Steelers fans are going to miss you that much.
