'The Sandlot' Is Coming Back As A TV Series With The Original Cast

Growing up, I LIVED on The Sandlot!

It was my favorite baseball movie.. Watching a group of young boys get themselves in and out of trouble, while at the end of the day, playing a game that could bring people together and make everything better.. It was the ultimate movie for all!

Well if you had the same love for The Sandlot like I did, you're going to be SUPER excited to hear that The Sandlot is coming back!

Normally I would have some hesitation when it comes to remaking or redoing something that is a classic, but this sounds like it is going to be different!

First off, it is coming back as a TV show on a streaming service with the original director, David Mickey Evans.. Interesting.
Second, the timing of the show sounds fitting. The film was set in 1962, the TV series will take place 22 years in 1984.. Sounds realistic.
And finally, THE ORIGINAL CAST IS COMING BACK! Smalls, Ham, Squints, the whole crew! YES THANK GOODNESS!
It has been 26 years since the classic baseball movie was released. That feels like FOR-EVVV-EEER.. Sorry, I just had to quote the movie on that one..

Let's give them the benefit of the doubt and see what they can do with it.
