Harry Potter is a household name and a book series that teaches the reader so many life lessons.

Children, and even adults, learn about the value of friendship, standing up for yourself, facing your fears and even the difficult subject of death, but one of those things you don't except to learn about is conjuring evil spirits..

A Catholic school in Nashville, Tennessee has recently banned the "Harry Potter" book series because a pastor at the school claims the books include both good and evil magic.

Not only was the wizarding book series banned due to the use of magic, according to the pastor, it contains "real spells" that if read by a human can conjure "evil spirits".

According to the email that pastor Dan Reehil sent to the Tennessean, "These books present magic as both good and evil, which is not true, but in fact a clever deception. The curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells; which when read by a human being risk conjuring evil spirits into the presence of the person reading the text."

The Catholic Church has not taken an official position on the magical book and movie series or made a comment about the banning of the books at the school.

Now that I have given you the facts, I now have to give you my opinion..

I have read the series multiple times, spent countless weekends binge-watching the movies, even traveled a few times to Florida to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and I have yet to conjure a spell, let alone an evil spirit..

Sadly I have to report, I believe it's official.. I'm a muggle and this ban on HP is absolutely ridiculous.
