Prepare for your heart to explode and potentially shed a tear..
Life can be rough for a shelter dog, but things are really looking up for Monte, a two-year-old terrier mix.
He was at HALO Animal Rescue in Phoenix with hundreds of other dogs, but now he's a Disney star.
Shelter workers noticed this pooch was super friendly and loves to greet people with kisses, so when animal trainers came scouting from Hollywood, Monte was recommended.
Now Monte will be starring as Tramp in the live-action remake of "Lady and the Tramp".
The cast of canines in the movie are real-life rescue dogs and Disney reports that all the rescue dogs in the movie found forever homes after production ended.
As a dog lover and advocate for adopting pets from shelters, I absolutely LOVE this!
The movie is set to hit theaters November 12, 2019.
If you're looking to get an animal, please adopt and DEFINITELY go see "Lady and the Tramp" when it comes out in theaters!
