Taylor Swift opens up about her 2012 album “Red” in “Rolling Stone’s” new podcast about their 500 Greatest Albums list.

In a preview of the podcast she admits that while she likes to sing about losing love, this album is her only one that’s all about the subject.

“I look back on this as my true breakup album, every other album has flickers of different things,” she says. “But this was an album that I wrote specifically about pure, absolute, to the core, heartbreak.”

“Red”, Taylor’s fourth album, went right to number one, and was the second-best selling album of 2012.

It featured such songs as “We Are Never Getting Ever Back Together” and “I Knew You Were Trouble.”
