Losing weight is frustrating, but add being a teenager on top of that.

It's such a difficult time in life trying to figure out your body and learning what foods are good for you.

Well WW is trying to make life a little easier and help out with that.

WW, the company formerly known as Weight Watchers has come under fire for the U.S. launch this week of its "healthy eating" app marketed to teenagers.

Kurbo by WW is a nutrition and weight loss app designed for children between the ages of 8 through 17.

It's stated purpose is to fight childhood obesity and encourage healthy eating, but advocates worry that it won't work and that it will teach kids harmful ideas about weight and health.

How the app works for kids: It divides them into three different categories by using a traffic light as a guide.

Green light foods "are great to eat anytime," while yellow ones require portion control and red ones require users to "stop and think."

While the traffic light system sounds like a good learning lesson, many experts disagree with the assessment as a healthy way for kids to think about food.

There is a Change.Org Petition right now to remove the app that has almost 50,000 signatures.

We will let you be the judge on whether it's a good or bad idea.
