We've all been there.. When you feel like slacking off during the work day..
..But what about when you spend your ENTIRE work day binging on Netflix?
Well that's what a former employee of Robert De Niro's production studio did and now she is in BIG trouble..
The former employee is being sued for millions of dollars over allegedly binge-watching Netflix during work hours, ordering takeout on the company's dime, and causing mayhem with her lazy approach to having a job.
Variety reported that Canal Productions filed a $6 million suit against Chase Robinson, who was hired in 2008 as an assistant and moved the whole way up to vice-president of production & finance at the company.
According to the lawsuit, Chase's job description included oversight of employees' use of company funds, which she breached by charging thousands of dollars in personal expenses to the company's credit card and using petty cash fund to cover the cost of additional personal items. She also allegedly submitted false documentation in order to be paid for 96 days of "unused" vacation time, and spent company money to fly to around the country.
Chase was also caught binge-watching hours of TV shows on Netflix. Over a 4-day period, she had watch 55 episodes of 'Friends'. If you didn't think that was bad, she also watched in that time period 20 episodes of Arrested Development and 10 episodes of Schitt's Creek.
Apparently Netflix-binging was NOT part of the job requirement? That's unfortunate.. She really seemed to excel in that category.
