Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell are married!
The ‘I Don’t Know About You’ singer proposed to ‘The Bachelor’ alum in June, and the couple made the surprise announcement that they had married on Friday.
According to PEOPLE, they married in Nashville in front of 160 family and friends, in an indoor ‘secret garden’ ceremony.
“I’ve just looked forward to the day for quite some time and I’m glad that it’s finally here,” Lane said. “I feel like I’m the luckiest guy in the world to be marrying her.”
“I feel like the luckiest girl,” said Lauren. “We both recognize what we have is special, and we feel very lucky.”
The couple met in 2015 at a radio event in Austin, but it wasn’t until 2018 that Chris asked Lauren to join him and friends on a trip to the Bahamas. But it wasn’t love in paradise. Chris spent the entire trip talking about how he wanted to be single forever, and didn’t want kids.
But it wasn’t until returning to Nashville, and Lauren to Los Angeles, that daily phone calls began and, eventually, they fell in love.
In June, Chris surprised Lauren at her family's home in Portland with a song he had written for her, and an engagement ring to go with it.
