David Lee Murphy is coming to Pittsburgh for this year's 8 Man Jam. He called Y'd Awake recently to catch up and they talked about how he and Kenny Chesney got together to record "Everything's Gonna Be Alright."

"Kenny has recorded songs of mine over the years going back to "Livin' In Fast Forward," and "Pirate Flag," "Until it's Gone," "Live A Little," "Bar At The End of The World," and I had sent him some songs and said 'man we oughtta just go in and make a record on you'."

David said that after recording 10 songs, he wrote "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" and it ended up on his 2018 album, "No Zip Code."

David will be at Rivers Casino on May 23rd for Y108 8 Man Jam, powered by Bowser GMC Trucks. The only way into the show is to win tickets and there are a number of ticket drops coming up before the show. Click here to see the list.
