We sure do love firefighters and all that they do, but when a story like this happens, it just makes us love them even more.
In New Hampshire last week, firefighters were called to a fire in an apartment building, but didn't expect to be saving the day in more ways than one.
When the firefighters were leaving the building, the fire lieutenant Mike Rheault noticed a little boy standing in a doorway wanting to talk to him, but he wasn't able to speak to him, so Mike signed to him and began a friendship that has us all in tears.
The little boy, Tegan Kerr, has cerebral palsy and isn't able to speak. Mike, having grown up with two deaf parents, used sign language to tell Tegan his name and also taught him a new word, "Firefighter".
To make matters even better, Mike and the rest of the firefighters invited Tegan and his mom down to the fire station this week to check out the fire trucks!
What a great story of friendship right there!
