Carrie Underwood Snubbed By ACM Awards Nominations
The Academy of Country Music (ACM) Award nominations were announced Friday morning, but there was one person clearly missing from those nominations.. Carrie Underwood.
For the first time in 15 years, Carrie was not nominated for Female Artist of the Year or the other prestigious category that she has become a regular nominee for, Entertainer of the Year.
Carrie did receive a Video of the Year nomination for her "Hallelujah" duet with John Legend, but that still has fans questioning why she wasn't nominated for the other two major categories.
For arguments sake, Carrie was in the studio working on a new album when the nomination process was happening and yes, Carrie has only had one recent single in the Top 20 hits with "Drinking Alone", BUT THIS IS CARRIE UNDERWOOD WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HERE.
Let's also keep in mind, Carrie won ACM Entertainer of the Year in 2020 in a TIE with Thomas Rhett!
Needless to say, I'm just as confused as you are as to why Carrie wasn't nominated in either of the categories she was so deserving to be recognized in.
