Gabby Barrett and Maren Morris will no longer be performing at the 2021 CMT Music Awards Wednesday evening.
Gabby was set to take the stage with Lady A and Carly Pearce, but took to social media Tuesday night saying, "I’m really sad to share that because of personal circumstances I won’t be able to perform with @ladya and @carlypearce on Wednesday at the @cmt Music Awards! I’ll be rooting for you guys and all of the incredibly talented nominees and performers! ❣️So appreciate all of your support and will see yall on the road this summer :)".
Lindsey Ell will now be taking Gabby's place.
As for Maren, she also took to social media Tuesday night to say she won't be attending saying, "Due to a scheduling conflict, I will not be performing at the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday. I know @jpsaxe will slay it and I am so excited for his album to come out soon!” This post has since been deleted, adding to the drama of the situation..
Maren was scheduled to perform with JP Saxe's song "Line by Line," and has now been replaced by Ingrid Andress.
The 2021 CMT Music Awards will air Wednesday night, June 9 at 8 pm on CMT, MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network and TV Land, hosted by Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown.
