Brad Paisley is making a return to Country Radio with a little bit of old, little bit of new, and one very familiar truck.

Paisley celebrated the World Premiere of new single, “Truck Still Works,” at the People’s Choice Country Awards last week, and now, he’s ready to drive it right onto Country radio as he marries the old with the new.
“‘Truck Still Works’ was an interesting process because this is a song that was really a nostalgic song, about the metaphor about firing something up that’s sat in the barn a while” he shared before detailing how he pulled inspiration from his 2003 hit, “Mud On The Tires.”
“I got back to the ‘Mud On The Tires’ era and my album, ‘Part II,’ which went right before that,” he shared. “The idea for this came from this idea to do a record that’s, ‘What would Part 3 be? What would be this return to who I was in the beginning after all of the life I’ve lived, after the world that I’ve seen, after the hits I’ve had?’ It’s so much fun to take inspiration from the early stuff — stuff that I haven’t done in a while and create something absolutely brand new.”
Paisley hopes the song will bring fans just as much joy as it’s brought him claiming it’s one of his favorite records he’s ever cut.
“I hope fans feel like they are hearing something that’s both familiar and brand new at the same time. As a Country artist, that’s sort of something you’re always trying to do. You never want to do something that’s so brand new and so weird and so out in left field that people go, ‘I don’t understand what that is.’ But, on the other hand, you never want to go back and do something just like you used to do and run the risk of being accused of not being original. This is both. It’s hard to describe, other than if you listen to it, you’ll know exactly what I mean.”
