Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh continues to remember our furry family members and want to make sure that no dog goes hungry.
The rescue will being hosting a dog food distribution event on Monday, February 22nd from 10am to 1pm at their North Side location. Thanks to local Tailored Pet Nutrition, they will be giving out 11,500 pounds of dog food.
“Pets are an integral part of our families,” says Dan Rossi, CEO of Humane Animal Rescue. “Because of the financial difficulties resulting from the outbreak of COVID-19, Pittsburghers need Ellie’s more than ever. We want to make sure that no one has to make the difficult decision to give up their pet because they can’t provide basic care.”
Thanks to their pre-holiday event, more than 8,328 pounds of dog food was distributed to feed 360 dogs and puppies in the Pittsburgh area.
