After many years as one-half of the Country mega duo, Florida Georgia Line, Tyler Hubbard is ready for a more “mature” chapter of his career as a solo artist with fresh energy and new ideas.

“This new season is slightly more mature, as it should be, and I’m feeling great,” Tyler told KSON’s John and Tammy. “It all feels very new, yet familiar. It’s the same business, but a whole new team and a whole new strategy and a whole new thing.”

Hubbard, along with former FGL duo mate, Brian Kelley, decided to embark on separate solo careers after ten years of tremendous success as FGL. While the split may have been a surprise to many, Hubbard says it feels natural to both go their separate ways.

“Being up there on my own has been an adjustment but… it feels natural, it feels good,” he shared. “I still have my band and I have the fans, and that’s really who I was connecting with most of the time anyways.”

Hubbard released his first official single as a solo artist, "5 Foot 9" to Country radio in May and is excited to keep more new music coming for fans as he establishes himself as a solo artist.
