The website Emojipedia dug into the topic of what each HEART emoji really represents.
Here are just a few of them, and what they mean...
1. Normal red hearts are the most likely to be used in a flirtatious way.
2. The pink heart with sparkles is used to show affection, appreciation, and gratitude.
3. Purple hearts are popular with fans of the Korean boy band BTS for some reason. And fans of the group NCT like to use green hearts.
4. The blue heart is the most neutral. So a lot of brands use it on Twitter.
5. White hearts are used a lot when talking about someone who passed away.
6. The broken heart emoji is used to convey sadness, discomfort, and awkwardness. It's the only emoji that's usually used in a negative way.
7. Brown hearts are used the least. But it's common for people to use them when talking about issues with race or racism. The five we use the MOST are the red heart . . . double red heart . . . purple heart . .
. blue heart . . . and broken heart.
