Developer David Hoffman who acquired a number of vineyards in the area gave us a run down of the latest plans. He says bed and breakfasts, a hunting lodge and a hostel will welcome their first guests in March and April.

"There will be 20 places for people to stay and get a sense of what it's like to be in wine country for the night or weekend in a different kind of environment than they've experienced before," Hoffman says.

He they'll also be rolling out carriage rides, trolley and gator tours and hot air balloons.

The dock is expected to be finished mid-summer so the Miss Augusta riverboat can be moved from St. Charles. Although Hoffman says it's so popular there officials want him to bring in another boat, which he is considering.
