So a lot of times people joke me for my slight obsession of the app, Tik Tok..the lovechild of the apps Vine and Musical.ly. But besides being hilarious and a great way to lose hours of your life watching funny dogs videos and weird dance trends, this app can save your life.
A man on Tik Tok posted a video on his account about pimple popping (gross but some people are into it *cough cough me cough cough* ) where a couple of his viewers noticed he had an irregular shaped mole and suggested he go to a dermatologist.
Turns out...it was an atypical mole heading towards melanoma and had to immediately remove it. Basically, Tik Tok saved his life.
