Audacy and V-103's own Greg Street caught up with Bow to get the inside scoop on how he's preparing for this showdown against Soulja Boy. Soulja has already made it clear he's "bringing the smoke," but Bow is bringing the hits. "We gon' go ahead and get it in. I'll clean him up, wash him up. As he wanna call me out, big brother gotta spank the little brother; it's all love," Bow boldly expressed.
Bow went as far to say that even googling him would be "an insult" to what he's done. He went on to discuss his slew of No. 1 hits, compared to Soulja's lone #1 hit, "Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)." Bow states, "that's a big record; that's a monster, but I have like eight more of those. Literally. No cap."
On the battle itself, the Masked Singer finalist revealed, "I can't wait; it's gon' be dope, man. To me, I just feel like Soulja is really the right matchup and we talkin' bout celebrating music and celebrating the culture and the era and what better person to have do it with me than him?"
This is all well and good, but Bow took to Twitter to alluding to the fact that Verzuz wasn't set in stone. Swizz quickly hopped in Bow's mentions, telling him to "knock it off." In a recent interview, Swizz revealed there is no set date for Bow Wow vs. Soulja Boy, but both competitors have been promoting a June 26 date.
Like we've been saying, everything will be explicitly clear once the flyer drops on the Verzuz social media pages. For now, check out Bow Wow's full interview above.
