We all have days where we seemingly forget how to do something we’ve done thousands of times in our lives. Fortunately, those mistakes usually don’t happen in front of tens of thousands of people. Adam Levine wasn’t so lucky.

Maroon 5 was performing at the American Family Insurance Amphitheatre in Milwaukee last weekend and just as Levine began a mass singalong to “She Will Be Loved,” he stopped the performance.

“You know what,” Levine tells the crowd,” “I f****d up!”

Here’s what happened. Levine accidentally began the song by singing the second verse. The crowd continued singing along with him before Levine put a pause to it. He was in awe (in the best way possible) at his gaffe and told the crowd he has never done that before.

"This next year will be the 20th anniversary of our first album," Levine said. "And I have not one time f****d that up. And it’s funny because I didn’t even need to admit it, ’cause you guys came with me on the journey."

Of course, you can cut Levine a bit of slack as Maroon 5 took the stage for the first time in months. The band recently kicked off their lengthy North American tour in support of their new studio album JORDI.
