NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Multiple school safety agents were injured during a fight between students at a Staten Island high school Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
The brawl occurred between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at the New Dorp High School located at 465 New Dorp Lane, an NYPD spokesman said.

Police said six students were involved in the fight, while over a dozen students surrounded them, leading to numerous arrests.
Four school safety agents suffered numerous injuries while trying to break up the fight, said Phyllis Shafran, a spokeswoman for Teamsters Local 237, the union that represents school safety agents.
The extent of their injuries were not immediately available.
“Violence has absolutely no place in our schools, SSAs and school staff immediately moved to intervene and stop this incident and no students were injured,” Department of Education spokesman Nathaniel Styer said. “The school will engage all parties involved and administer the appropriate interventions, as needed.”
Six students were arrested on disorderly conduct charges and were released to their parents, the NYPD said.
Their names were not released due to their names.
