NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) — One person was killed and three others were critically wounded in a Newark shooting Saturday night, authorities said.
The shooting happened near Chancellor Avenue and Leslie Street, Essex County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Robert Florida told NJ.com. It was reported around 7:40 p.m., according to emergency dispatches.
One victim died shortly after 8:30 p.m., and the others were in critical condition, according to Florida.
The circumstances of the shooting, as well as whether anyone was taken into custody, were not immediately clear.
