NEPTUNE, N.J (1010 WINS) -- A shooting in New Jersey is under investigation after a person was fatally shot Monday afternoon, officials said.
The shooting occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Drummond Avenue in Neptune and is being investigated as a homicide, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
“We can confirm that our office and the Neptune police department are actively involved in a homicide investigation at this time,” a prosecutor’s office spokesman said.
No further details were released at this time.
