
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – One teen boy was killed and another injured in a shooting at a Bronx subway station on Monday night, police said.
The victims, both 17 years old, were shot inside the elevated Burke Avenue station in Allerton just after 10 p.m.
Blood, shell casings and evidence markers covered the ground at Burke Avenue and White Plains Road as the investigation continued Tuesday.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting weren’t immediately known, but one of the teens was shot in his head, arm and shoulder, while the other was shot in his hip.
EMS transported both to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where the former was pronounced dead and the latter listed in stable condition.
The identity of the deceased hasn’t been released as his family is notified.
Detectives canvassed the scene for evidence as the investigation continued Tuesday.
