2 men sought for stealing donation box from Queens Buddhist temple: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two men snatched the donation box from a Buddhist temple in Queens this week, police said Thursday as they released video of the suspects making their getaway.

According to police, the duo jumped over a fence and entered the grounds of the Wat Buddha Thai Thavornvaranam temple on Saturday around 12:44 a.m. at 76-16 46th Ave. in Elmhurst.

The men then used bolt cutters to remove the donation box and fled with an undetermined amount of money.
