NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for three suspects who robbed a dry cleaning store and a bakery at knifepoint in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday.
The trio entered High Point Cleaners at 250 East 40th St. around 10:55 a.m., and one of the men displayed a knife and demanded cash from a 40-year-old employee. A second went behind the counter and stole $100 from the register, police said.
The men fled west on foot on 39th Street.
Police on Tuesday released photos of two suspects involved in the dry-cleaning robbery.
Less than an hour after their first robbery, police said the crew struck the Buttercup Bake Shop at 167 Madison Ave. Two members of the crew entered the bakery, and one displayed a knife toward the female cashier and demanded money.
The second man then took $600, police said.
The duo then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
There were no reported injuries as a result of either robbery.
