NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — FDNY officials are investigating if an e-bike battery found caused an apartment fire that injured several people in Brooklyn on Sunday night.

The flames broke out at about 9:40 p.m. on the second floor of the six-story building located 74 Arlington Ave. in Cypress Hills, officials said.

One person was hospitalized with serious injuries and four others suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention, authorities said.

According to fire officials, a lithium ion battery was packaged and removed from the location.

It wasn’t clear Monday whether the battery was responsible for the fire, and the cause remains under investigation
