NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a group of six suspects who are wanted in connection to a stabbing that occurred inside a Manhattan subway train earlier this month, authorities said.
At approximately 8:25 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, the suspects approached a 36-year-old man while aboard a northbound D train in the vicinity of West 4th Street in Greenwich Village, and a dispute ensued, officials said.

The dispute escalated, at which point the suspects assaulted the victim and stabbed him with an unknown cutting instrument, police said.
All parties exited the train at the 161 Street train station in the Bronx, cops said.
The victim received treatment at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln for two stab wounds to his left arm and is in stable condition.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
