Attacker critically injures man in double stabbing at Queens subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating a double stabbing inside a Queens subway station that left one man critically injured, authorities said.

At approximately 3:20 a.m., on Sunday, January 1, two men entered the Parsons Boulevard subway station in Jamaica and were approached by the suspect, police said.

According to officials, the three engaged in a verbal dispute, which escalated into a physical encounter.

The suspect displayed a knife and stabbed a 26-year-old man in the abdomen and stabbed a 28-year-old man in the bicep before fleeing the train station to parts unknown.

Both victims were transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where the younger victim was listed in critical condition. The other victim was been treated and released.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black vest, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a tan backpack, blue jeans and blue sneakers.
