
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police have charged a 16-year-old boy with murder and other charges in the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old boy on Staten Island on Friday.
The teen is also facing two counts of assault, criminal use of a firearm and menacing charged for the deadly killing.
His identity has not been released due to his age.
The NYPD announced the bust hours after they identified Jamoure Harrell as the 13-year-old victim who died from his injuries on Sunday.
According to police, Harrell was shot at the Reverend Dr. Maggie Howard Playground, near the Stapleton Houses on Warren Street and Gordon Street, just before 4 p.m. on May 19.
He was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where he later died.
The shooting appears targeted, detectives said.
