NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 14-year-old boy was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver as he rode his bike in Queens on Monday night, police said.
The teen was bicycling south on 21st Street in Astoria around 9:40 p.m. when he was hit by an oncoming SUV near 21st Avenue.
EMS rushed the child to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, but he did not survive his injuries.
The SUV driver fled the scene and was still being sought Tuesday.
