Boys, 16 and 13, stabbed on E. Harlem basketball court: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two teenage boys were stabbed on an East Harlem basketball court Thursday afternoon, police said.

The attack happened at the White Playground on East 106th Street and Lexington Avenue around 1:30 p.m.

According to police, the victims were approached by a group of 8 to 10 children, at least one of whom stabbed a 16-year-old boy in the back and a 13-year-old boy twice in the shoulder.

The group then fled the scene, and no arrests have been made.

Both were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

It wasn't immediately clear what led to the stabbings.
