The fire started in Pelham Gardens on the seventh floor of a 24-story high rise near Earhart Lane and Eskrine Place, around 4:45 a.m.

At the scene, firefighters found a large amount of clutter inside the apartment while trying to put the blaze out and removed three occupants, FDNY officials said.

The victims were taken to Jacobi Hospital in serious condition and sustained life threatening injuries, a source told the Daily News.

The fire was rendered under control by 5:30 a.m. after more than 75 firefighters were called upon to help.

An investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing as of Saturday.
