NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A purse-snatcher attacked a woman and fled with $1,850 that flew from her bag in the Bronx, police said Friday.
The NYPD released images of the suspect in last Friday morning’s robbery at E. Kingsbridge Road and E. 194th Street in Fordham Manor.
The 26-year-old victim was walking just after 11 a.m. when the man grabbed her purse from behind, police said.
The bag burst open, and $1,850 in cash fell to the ground.
The victim tried to stop the man from taking the money, but he pushed her down and was able to flee with the cash, police said.
She suffered minor lacerations to her knees and was treated at the scene by EMS.
A surveillance camera captured the suspect walking nearby at 329 E. Fordham Road before the robbery, police said.
