NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police are searching for a man believed to be responsible for a spate of random attacks in Greenwich Village this month.
The NYPD released images Friday of the suspect, who’s believed to be between 25 and 35 years old.
The most recent attack was on Saturday afternoon, when a 58-year-old man was pummeled by a stranger on E. 9th Street, between Broadway and University Place.

The victim was walking to the grocery store at 4:20 p.m. when his attacker pounced from behind and repeatedly punched him in the face with a closed fist, police said.
“I got spun around, and when I spun, there was already a first,” the victim told WCBS-TV. The attack left him with a broken eye socket and cut lip.
He transported in stable condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
The same attacker is wanted in two other random assaults in January: one at Bedford and Grove streets on Jan. 3 and another about 10 blocks away at Fifth Avenue and E. 11th Street on Jan. 4.
In those two attacks, male victims were also slugged at random by an attacker who ran off, police said.
Nothing was stolen during the assaults.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
