NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 14-year-old boy was slashed with a box cutter at a subway station in Brooklyn this week, police said Friday as they released surveillance images of the suspect.
A minor bump led to an altercation between the teen and the man at the Jefferson Street station in Bushwick around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The two of them were exiting a southbound L train when the man bumped into the teen, sparking the argument that turned physical.
During the fight, the man slashed the boy across the left arm with an orange-handled box cutter, police said.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was treated for a laceration to his arm and released.
The slasher fled the scene but was captured by surveillance cameras at the station. Police believe he’s about 25 years old.
