NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A cold crook made off with cash—and NyQuil—after robbing a Bronx deli this month, police said Thursday.
New photos from the NYPD show the suspect wanted in the March 12 holdup at Brook Avenue and E. 138th Street in Mott Haven.
The armed thief walked into the store around 11:40 p.m. and asked for NyQuil and tobacco.
He then reached over the counter, grabbed $200 cash and tried to leave without paying for the nighttime cold medicine and tobacco, police said.
When an 18-year-old worker locked the door to stop him from leaving, he allegedly flashed a gun on his waistband to force his way out.
He made off with the cash and the merch, worth $36, police said.
No injuries were reported in the robbery.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
