Construction worker hurt in fall down garbage chute at Manhattan hospital

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A construction worker was hurt early Monday when he plummeted down a garbage chute at a Manhattan hospital, authorities said.

The worker fell down the chute at NYU Langone's Tisch Hospital on First Avenue near East 30th Street around 6:45 a.m., officials told the Daily News.

An FDNY spokesman told the outlet that the victim was treated at the hospital and expected to recover.

It wasn't clear what led to the fall.
