NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police are searching for two suspects who they said performed lewd acts in front of women at Manhattan subway stations this week, with one woman forced to escape on a train.

The NYPD released images Tuesday of the suspects in the pair of incidents at Central Park and Union Square.

In the first incident just before 9 a.m. Sunday, a 31-year-old woman was on the platform inside the 103rd Street station on Central Park West when a man exposed himself to her, police said.

The suspect, believed to be in his 30s, masturbated and made a sexually explicit comment to the woman before fleeing, according to police.

In a second, unrelated incident on Monday, a 27-year-old woman was on a 6-train platform at the 14th Street–Union Square station shortly before 10 a.m. when she noticed a man staring at her while performing a lewd act.

The suspect, believed to be about 60 years old, followed her for a short distance, but she was able to "escape on a 6 train," police said.

Neither woman suffered physical injuries in the incidents, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
