NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a man and woman accused of stealing thousands of dollars from in the Bronx over the weekend, authorities said.
It was reported to police that on Saturday, Oct. 29, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the couple approached a 70-year-old woman and engaged her in a verbal conversation.
The suspects walked with the victim approximately two blocks into her apartment building located in the vicinity of West 183rd Street and Loring Place North in University Heights, officials said.
The victim willingly allowed the two individuals to enter her apartment where the suspects stole approximately $30,000 in cash, as well as her purse that contained her cellphone and credit/debit cards, police said.
