NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was charged after he crashed into two homes on Staten Island early Thursday while allegedly fleeing a traffic stop, authorities said.
According to officials, 38-year-old Michael Robles, lost control of his 2007 Jeep Patriot just after 3:30 a.m. and collided into the homes on Van Duzer Street in Stapleton.

Authorities attempted to pull Robles over for having a defective brake light on before they spotted a crack pipe in the Jeep.
The driver allegedly drove off before colliding with another vehicle and then crashing into the homes, officials said.
EMS treated nine people at the scene from the home. No serious injuries were reported.
The Department of Buildings issued full vacate orders for the homes.
The NYPD said the Jeep was unregistered and Robles did not have a valid license.
Ecstasy, heroin, and the suspected crack pipe were recovered by cops.
Robles faces charges including reckless endangerment, fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operator of a motor vehicle, equipment violation for a defective brake light, driving without a license, and operating an unregistered vehicle.
An investigation remains ongoing.
