Duo sought in robbery spree inside Queens subway stations: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two suspects are being sought by police in a robbery spree at two Queens subway stations over the weekend, authorities said Tuesday.

The first incident happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, while onboard a moving northbound F train approaching the 46th Street Station in Astoria, officials said.

According to police, two unknown individuals approached a 23-year-old man and demanded his wallet, threatening to shoot him.

No firearm was displayed or simulated, but the victim handed his wallet to the individuals, who then exited the train when it stopped at the 46th Street station, cops said.

The victim was not injured and the property reported stolen included the wallet, which contained credit cards and personal ID.

The second incident occurred just after 4 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, while onboard a moving northbound F train approaching the Parsons Boulevard Station in Jamaica, police said.

The suspects approached a 40-year-old man and asked him if he had the time then demanded his wallet, officials said.

The victim attempted to walk away from the suspects who then grabbed onto his back pants pocket, causing them to rip and his wallet to fall to the floor, the NYPD said.

A brief struggle ensued, and the suspects began to physically assault the victim before they exited the train when it stopped at the Parsons Boulevard station, authorities said.

The victim was able to retrieve his wallet with no property stolen.

He sustained minor injuries and was treated by EMS at the scene.

The first suspect was last seen wearing a green jacket, a white t-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the PUMA logo on the front, gray sweatpants and black sneakers.
