NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An e-bike rider was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday in Manhattan, police said.
Around 1:20 a.m., the man was riding his e-bike on West 24th Street near Seventh Avenue in Chelsea when he was hit from behind by a driver in an Infiniti sedan, authorities said.
After striking the man, the 24-year-old driver fled the scene, according to officials.
The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue where he was later pronounced dead.
Cops later found the driver and arrested him.
