NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Fire officials said faulty electrical wiring caused a blaze at a Brooklyn synagogue that injured four people early Sunday morning, authorities said.

The flames happened just before 2 a.m. on 56th Street in Borough Park.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the fire on the first floor of the three-story building.

Three firefighters suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

A fourth person was taken to an area hospital. Their condition remains unknown.

The FDNY said the fire was accidental due to faulty electrical wiring.
