VIDEO: Girl, 13, robbed at Queens playground, 2 teens sought by NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a teen boy and girl accused of robbing a 13-year-old girl inside of a Queens playground last week, authorities said.

Just before 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, inside of Park of the Americas playground located at 103-08 42nd Avenue in Flushing, police said the male suspect approached the 13-year-old girl and placed an unknown object to her back while the female threatened to stab her and demanded money.

The victim gave the suspects her cell phone and ear pods before the two fled the scene on foot.

The first suspect is described by authorities as a male, with a dark complexion, in his teens. He was last seen wearing a black hooded coat, black jeans and dark-colored sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a female, with a dark complexion, in her teens. She was last seen wearing a black coat with a fur-lined hood, black jeans, and tan boots.

According to officials, minutes later, the teen suspects snatched the cellphone of a woman inside of the Court Square Station then punched her in the face.

When a 37-year-old man came to her assistance the teen boy produced an unknown sharp object and slashed him, causing a laceration to his wrist.

The suspects fled and EMS transported the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.
