NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A subway rider was stabbed and chased through a Harlem station last week after he confronted a group of people for slapping him on a train, police said Wednesday as they released video of the suspects.

The 29-year-old victim was on a 2 train at the 116th Street station at 3 a.m. on July 4 when he was approached by his five attackers.

Someone in the group slapped the victim unprovoked. The group then walked away, but the victim confronted them about the slap moments later.

That’s when one of them flashed a knife and threatened him with it, according to police.

The entire group then chased him and one of them stabbed him in the upper arm.
