NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who robbed three subway riders in Manhattan and Queens since last month.

The suspect in the most recent robbery followed a 45-year-old man onto a northbound J train inside the Chambers Street subway station, then asked the victim about a camera he was holding before putting a knife to the victim's neck.

A brief struggle ensued, and the individual removed the camera from the victim before fleeing off the train and into the Delancey Street-Essex Street subway station. There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.

That robbery happened just a week after a 24-year-old man was targeted as he exited the 36th Street subway station. In that Feb. 24 attack, the suspect approached from behind and placed his hand over the victim’s mouth around 10:25 p.m. while placing an unknown hard object against his ribs.

The perp demanded the victim's cellphone and earbuds, to which he agreed. The man fled in an unknown direction with the victim’s property.

There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.

In the suspect's first known robbery, police said he robbed a 40-year-old man standing at an MTA MetroCard machine inside the 18th Street subway station on Feb. 18.

The assailant approached the victim from behind, took the man's cellphone and $190. The victim refused medical attention on scene.

He fled on a northbound 1 train and remains at large.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
