NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A Brooklyn woman was arrested over the weekend for the 2021 murder of a Queens woman, who was found slashed and burned at a smoldering Queensbridge Houses apartment.

Tandika Wright, 36, of Brownsville, was arrested Friday night, police said Monday.

She was charged with murder, manslaughter, assault, two counts of arson and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police believe she’s the person who killed Lavina Nolley, 49, on the night of Dec. 9, 2021.

Nolley was suffering from serious burns and multiple lacerations when NYPD officers responding to a 911 call found her in a second-floor apartment on 12th Street at NYCHA’s Queensbridge housing complex in Long Island City.

She was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Queens.

The relationship between the two women wasn’t immediately clear.

Nolley lived at a women’s shelter about eight blocks from the building where her body was found.

Residents told the Daily News that the apartment was frequented by a lot of people and had been the subject of numerous complaints from neighbors.

Nolley, who was known as Sweets, was a “nice lady, going through a lot of hard stuff with a drug addiction,” an area resident who gave his name as Fly Mega told the Daily News.
