
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Officials are looking to identify a knife-wielding, would-be thief accused of attempting to rob a 7-Eleven and a delivery truck in Kips Bay earlier this month.
The incident happened on Tuesday, March 8, at approximately 1:47 p.m., at a 7-Eleven located at 395 Third Avenue.

The suspect tried to remove merchandise from the boxes the 55-year-old male victim delivered to the location, authorities said.
When the man confronted him, the suspect lifted his shirt to display a knife in his pants' pocket, the NYPD said.
The suspect told the victim he was going to rob him and then exited the store and tried to open the his locked delivery truck.
The individual did not gain entry into the truck and fled the scene on foot southbound on 3rd Avenue.
The suspect is described as a Black male in his 30s, 5'10", 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored hooded sweater with the words "Roca Wear" on the front.
